I was afraid it would be an Oliver "Sledgehammer the Fucking Point" Stonish "Gordon Gecko" moment.

I've been interested in this type of movie since an acquaintance back in the 80s told be about Robert Vesco, a man he had been chasing for years.

BTW, read a good quote this week from an unapologetic capitalist: "My expenses are your profit". In other words, he only makes a profit after he pays his suppliers, workers, taxes, etc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34798599.post-87375166223783842652014-01-08T10:37:51.859-05:002014-01-08T10:37:51.859-05:00Thank you. Introspection is difficult for a country that was at the top of its game- the Germans had to do it after WWII (comparison to Nazi Germany? but then many Americans will take offence to this as they still deny their own genocidal actions at home and around the world).

Read screenplay but did not see movie. In a movie where dialogue>action (esp. where there's a lot of voice overs), I think you get a better sense by reading it over seeing it. It's loud and clear- the excesses represent a clouded America.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
